We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist to join the Immunomodulatory Drug Discovery group (Cancer Immunology) at Agenus, Lexington, MA. A strong background in immunology as evidenced by peer reviewed publications is required for this position. The successful candidate will work as part of an integrated research team to identify and characterize novel therapeutic targets for cancer immunotherapy. He/she will be expected to work independently, and to design, execute and interpret experiments in the collaborative global research environment at Agenus. Position’s focus is on cell culture/upstream process development for all pipeline antibody products using mammalian expression systems. Responsibilities include the identification of critical process parameters, cell growth and productivity optimization using statistical and empirical approaches, and scale up of upstream process from bench and pilot-scale to large scale disposable production bioreactors. The Facilities Mechanic will, under the direction of the maintenance supervisor, be responsible for the daily start up and monitoring of the GMP utilities plant as well of the routine monitoring of boilers, HVAC equipment and pharmaceutical water systems.
