  • Overview

    The Senior Program Manager/Associate Director is responsible for leading a program team, developing program strategy and driving operational execution. This role requires a high degree of cross-functional collaboration, strong project management skills and the ability to influence and work closely with senior decision makers. This is a high visibility, interdisciplinary role for a highly motivated individual with the goal of bringing potentially life-extending clinical stage products through registration.

     

     

    Responsibilities

     

     

    • Lead cross-functional program team(s) to develop program strategy, integrating development, commercial, technical, regulatory and financial considerations. Prioritize to inform senior management decision making.
    • Develop project plan, program timelines and monitor progress.
    • Identify risks and mitigate risks or generate alternative options. Lead scenario planning and organizational readiness activities, as required.
    • Drive operational execution of program goals. Support activities of development, regulatory, CMC and other teams to ensure operational efficiency and coordination of effort.
    • Assure high level of communication within program team, across stakeholders and to senior leadership.
    • Manage effectiveness of alliances governance forums.
    • Manage high level budget, working closely with finance and department leads.

     

    Qualifications

     

    • Significant experience in drug development and commercialization, particularly in oncology.
    • Experience leading program teams.
    • Strong project management, analytical and leadership skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to identify priorities, evaluate strategic options and engage cross-functional input to enable decision-making.
    • Outstanding relationship-building and communications skills.
    • Ability to operate in dynamic, fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
    • Proven track record of working with cross-functional teams.
    • Demonstrated ability to achieve results

     

    Experience: 

    • 5+ years of relevant biotech and/or pharmaceutical industry experience.
    • At least 3 years of experience in program/project management.
    • Experience with oncology therapeutics strongly preferred.
    • BS/BA degree required. Advanced degree in life sciences and/or MBA preferred.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management skills.
    • Familiarity with ICH guidelines and GCP 
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
