    AgenTus Therapeutics is a dynamic new start-up subsidiary developing T cell receptors (TCRs) and chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) designed to supercharge human immune effector cells to seek and destroy cancer.  We aim to deliver cures to cancer patients around the world by leveraging our proprietary platforms for TCR discovery, targeting novel phosphopeptide neo-epitopes and developing unique allogeneic cell therapies.  Together with our parent company, Agenus, we have a deep and diverse repertoire of immunotherapy treatments that can be used in combinations that will synergize to help the body’s immune system fight cancer.


    We are seeking an innovative Scientist/Sr. Scientist to join our exciting company developing adoptive cell therapies.  As a member of our organization, you will work as part of an integrated, global team to design and validate optimal CAR (chimeric antigen receptor) targeting molecules for cellular therapeutics and develop next-generation CAR-T therapies.  You will have the opportunity to lead CAR-T drug development programs and to contribute to the creative advancement of the CAR-T platform at AgenTus.  Activities stemming from early stage proposal of novel targets to later stage interactions with CMOs for translational development will be included in this role.  You should have the ability to independently troubleshoot technical issues and develop optimized processes and assays for critical tasks. This role has the potential to lead a team of 1-2 research associates. 


    • Expertise in mammalian cell culture with specific experience culturing primary T lymphocytes is a requirement.
    • Experience with cellular therapy processes including genetic engineering of primary T cells and immunological assay is a plus.
    • Excellent analytical and communication skills are also important for this position.
