The Molecular Biology group at AgenTus (Lexington, MA) is seeking a motivated Research Associate to join us in the development of novel cellular therapies. The selected candidate will work as part of an integrated research team to use molecular and vector biology techniques to generate materials and processes which will enable the validation and optimization of novel cellular therapeutics including T cell receptors (TCRs) and chimeric antigen receptors (CAR-Ts).
The successful candidate will work as part of a core team to create and characterize critical reagents that will enable the development of cellular therapeutic targeting molecules and cell engineering processes. The candidate will function as part of a cross-functional group to construct DNA plasmids for expression of CARs/TCRs using traditional and advanced cloning processes such as Gibson Assembly. In addition, this position includes the responsibility to produce and optimize viral vectors and other non-viral gene delivery methods as well as to optimize transduction protocols for primary cell types. The candidate will also perform basic mammalian cell culture procedures such as cell line engineering using viral vectors.
