    Agenus is seeking a talented individual to join our Facilities team. This Facilities Technician will be responsible for the day-to-day facilities and maintenance activities of the Lexington facility.


    Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

      • Understanding of adherence to cGMP standard operation procedures including: compliance with GMP training requirements, following SOPs, policies, and all other relevant work instructions.
      • Maintain facility appearance and ensure optimal functionality and cleanliness.
      • Assist with troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repairs to building and maintenance equipment.
      • Perform minor plumbing (free clogged toilets and drains, change water filters, etc.), electrical (change lamps and ballasts, reset breakers, etc.), and HVAC repairs and maintenance (i.e., filter changes, etc.).
      • Coordinate and communicate with outside vendors.
      • Assist in maintaining life safety systems (i.e. Sprinkler and fire alarm).
      • Assist with monthly life safety inspections (i.e. extinguishers and safety eyewashes & showers).
      • Required to participate on a rotational on-call schedule (answer/acknowledge building alarms after hours, weekends, and holidays, must have ability to travel with own vehicle.
      • Assist with the maintenance of the company cars as needed (i.e. gas, wash, vacuum).
      • Assist with daily lab operations
      • Assist with requested office moves, adds, changes, and equipment relocations.
      • Ability to respond to daily facilities requests through the Agenus ticketing system.

    Job Requirements: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

      • Practice safe work habits at all times.
      • Proven record of providing excellent customer service and response.
      • GMP experience, ability to read, follow, and document Standard Operation Procedures.
      • Metasys Building Management Systems
      • Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies.
      • Excellent inter-personal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
      • Basic computer skills and demonstrated ability to learn new systems and understand new technologies.
      • Detail oriented. Take pride in your work.
      • RCRA and DOT. MWRA.
      • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
      • Ability to work on a ladder.




    Education and/or Experience:

    • High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Technical or vocational training.
    • Five years of facilities experience in a professional setting.
    • Prior experience working in a laboratory environment is a plus.
    • Boiler License Required (or willingness to achieve certification).
    • Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations related to LOTO, MSDS, Confined Space and Hot Work.
    • Good driving record.
    • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
