    Agenus is looking for an efficient, organized, and resourceful Facilities and Laboratories Coordinator to support the day to day activities of the Facilities department.  The candidate must be highly adaptive to frequent evolving priorities in a fast-paced environment.  Strong decision-making skills, verbal, and written communication skills and attention to detail are critical as well as maintaining a high level of confidentiality.  The ability to prioritize multiple tasks, handle a heavy work load well under pressure, and work independently with strong follow-through skills are a must for this team oriented candidate.

    Responsibilities

     

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage fleet vehicles’ calendars and scheduled maintenance
    • Assist with space allocation, onboarding, moves adds, changes, and conference room set up
    • Assist with security badge activation, deactivation, and access issues
    • Assist in ordering of Facilities parts and materials, maintain inventory, breakroom amenities and replenish kitchens as needed
    • Ad hoc projects, as assigned
    • Assist in facilities electronic ticketing system
    • Assist Facilities Supervisor in recording daily equipment readings
    • Maintain laboratory supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies and supply to lab areas.
    • Oversee, coordinate, and track the hazardous chemical waste, biological waste, glass waste, plastic waste, and solid lab waste, ensuring the safe removal of all lab waste.
    • Perform glass and plastic wear wash and autoclave for R&D.
    • Ensure and promote Good Lab Practices (GLP) and safety, including participation on the General Safety Committee meeting.
    • Manage chemical inventory databases and safety data sheets.
    • Maintain applicable lab and safety documentation and perform audits as necessary.
    • Maintain cold room space allocation and stock inventory items.
    • Maintain freezer and Cryo space allocation.
    • Promote and assist in good housekeeping in R&D

     

    Qualifications

     

    • Self-motivated, confident, energetic, and flexible
    • Ability to multi-task, maintains a can-do attitude, especially in a fast-paced environment
    • Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Proactively identifies new opportunities to improve lab safety and efficiency
    • Able to lift/move up to 50 pounds
    • Able to perform other work assignments; which may include lifting, bending, stooping, sitting, leaning, etc.
    • A team player, who listens effectively and invites response and discussion
    • High School Diploma
    • Biotech Laboratory experience preferred
    • Mandatory valid driver’s license
