  • Overview

    Agenus (Lexington, MA) is seeking a highly talented and motivated Research Associate / Senior Research Associate to join our Cellular Immunology function. In this position, you will work as part of an integrated research team focused on identifying novel cancer targets and in the development and characterization of cellular immunotherapeutic agents directed at these targets. Additionally, you will contribute to studies focused on our other immune-therapy programs. You will be expected to perform experiments contributing to the larger team's effort evaluating how our immunotherapeutic drug candidates affect neoplastic growth. Specifically, you will be central to identifying and testing novel therapeutic agents and immune-monitoring candidates. In this highly collaborative research environment, you will be expected to work closely with a Scientist / Senior Scientist with the additional goal of publishing novel findings in high impact journals. This role would involve contributing to experimental design and performing the experiments with the Scientist / Senior Scientist and independently, receiving training (where needed) as well as analysis and presentation of results.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    Work synergistically within an interdisciplinary team of scientists and contribute in the development and implementation of the overall Agenus cancer immunology research strategies. • Evaluate immune readouts that can be incorporated in early clinical development. • Provide results and scientific input on patent and IND/NDA/BLA preparation activities. • Contribute generously to the overall Lab. science base at Agenus

     

    Qualifications

    • A Science / Math BS., ideally with some immunology

    •Demonstrated Lab. experience in molecular or cellular biology or immunology

    • Some familiarity with current immunological techniques such as immune function assays, multicolor flow cytometry, cell separation methods, ELISA, multiplex assays, T cell proliferation assays and/or ELISpots

    • Additional experience in antibody or cell-based immunotherapies in vivo, molecular biology and familiarity with basic bioinformatics preferred

    • Candidates should be collaborative, have excellent communication skills, be able to understand complex ideas, learn innovative techniques, and be dedicated to translating preclinical research insights into impactful human therapies.

     

    Senior Research Associate additionally: MS in relevant subject &/or 5+ years of Lab. research experience with demonstrated academic &/or industry achievement.
