Agenus is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Research Associate to join the research biochemistry group to support discovery and development of novel therapeutics for Immuno-Oncology. The successful candidate will possess a strong foundation in protein chemistry and experience with standard protein analytical methods. The candidate will be a member of a highly collaborative research environment within Agenus and is expected to design, plan, and execute experiments independently and as part of multidisciplinary team of researchers.   • Carefully plan and execute experimental work in an organized manner within agreed timelines
  • Acquire new skills and integrate new technologies, as needed
  • Seek to optimize and standardize current assay protocols, and propose/evaluate alternative assays/methodologies/technologies
  • Provide clear and concise oral and written summaries of data
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical documents, project report summaries, laboratory protocols and other compliance documents
  • Implement data into digital archive (ELN format) and shared within Agenus research group




  • A Bachelors or Masters degree in biochemistry, structural chemistry, or related science is required.
  • Demonstration of an ability to maintain clear and accurate research documentation is required.
  • 2-4 years academic or industry research experience with a strong background using protein analytical techniques is required. Prior experience with SPR or BLI is highly desired.
  • Experience evaluating protein-protein interactions, structure-function relationships, and/or antibody-antigen interactions will be given preference.
