Overview

Agenus (Lexington, MA) is seeking a motivated Research Associate to join the Preclinical Research Group. The selected candidate will work as part of an integrated research team focused on discovering and validating novel T cell-based therapeutics. The candidate is expected to be a member of a highly collaborative research environment within Agenus and with our internal and external partners. 

 

Responsibilities

The incumbent will be expected to design, execute and analyze complex in vitro and in vivo studies with support from supervising Scientists.  The incumbent will work with others in the Immune Education group in a collaborative atmosphere. This will require broad knowledge of current concepts in cancer immunology and associated techniques.  Individual will present research plans and findings to Immune Education group and share expertise with other scientists. Maintaining strong working relationship with collaborators and CRO’s is critical.

 

Additional Responsibilities:

 

  • Acquire new skills and integrate new technologies as needed.
  • Perform cellular and molecular techniques to support proposed studies.
  • Operate flow cytometer and perform analysis of multi-parameter data.
  • Complete internal compliance forms.
  • Submit data into digital archive (ELN format) and shared within Agenus research group.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in biology or related science with relevant laboratory experience.  Extensive laboratory experience can substitute for advanced degree.  Expertise with basic laboratory skills is required. Ability to work independently and rapidly acquire new skills is preferred.
