Overview

This position will participate in biophysical characterization of immunotherapeutic candidates, CMC support and comparability studies enabling progress of candidate development and IND submission. 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include analytical development of MS- and LC-MS based methods for characterization of novel monoclonal antibodies, protein and peptide-based vaccines at preclinical and clinical stages; performing MS analysis of intact molecule, isoforms, and fragments generated by various enzyme digestion; peptide mapping analysis for monoclonal antibody sequence and subunit analysis, glycosylation analysis and isoform quantitation by LC-MS. Additional responsibilities include method development for identity, purity, aggregation status, charge isoforms, potency, and stability using HPLC (including SEC, RP-HPLC, IEX, HIC, affinity etc), electrophoresis (including SDS-PAGE, Western blotting,  IEF, CGE-SDS and cIEF), and other protein chemistry tools; interaction with R&D, QC and Manufacturing groups across sites and presentation of data in group settings.

Qualifications

A MS +3 years or PhD degree in a scientific discipline and relevant experience in monoclonal antibody or protein-based product characterization by LC-MS.
